Dear International Ralliers,
We have been going over to Bruges in Belgium looking for a suitable hotel for next rally, we chose the Van der Valk Hotel - Oostkamp. Check the website www.valk.com/brugge. The hotel is situated off Junction 9 of the E 40 so is easy to get to. We have made arrangements for the meals, we are in the process of arranging the visits and have to finalise the rally route.
The weekend will take the usual format: -
Friday – Arrive at your leisure. Friday evening meal is not included in the cost. Meals are available at the hotel , tables bookable.
Saturday – The Rally drive ends with lunch at the hotel, the afternoon arrangements are in hand (we will notify you later).
Evening – Gala dinner * and presentations.
Sunday – We will take our cars to the place of the outing and on return will go for lunch, more information when we have finished with these arrangements.
After lunch, the rally will end so that people wishing to, can return home.
We have kept the format of the three options (extra nights available): - see below
Option 1 for campers - Rally to include - Gala dinner *, Saturday lunch, Road book/file, Entrance fees, Sunday outing and Sunday lunch, estimated cost £112/122€per person. It is possible to stay in the hotel on Saturday night only @ £114/120€ per double room (2 persons) and £90/95€ per single room - buffet breakfast included.
Option 2 - Friday and Saturday night in the hotel on bed and breakfast in a double room, plus Rally - Gala dinner*, Saturday lunch, road book, Entrance fees, Sunday outing and Sunday lunch. Estimated cost £226/242€per person. There is a single supplement of £33 per night. Please Note - Friday evening meal not included.
Option 3 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday night in the hotel on bed and breakfast in a double room, plus Rally -Gala dinner*, Saturday lunch, road book, Entrance fees, Sunday outing and Sunday lunch. Estimated cost £283/302€ per person. There is a single supplement of £33 per night. Please Note - Friday and Sunday evening meals not included in this cost.
There are some twin-bedded rooms if single members would be happy to share.
*We have negotiated the Gala dinner to include drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks, water, tea and coffee) for 2 hours.
The cost may rise if the Euro goes against us. With this in mind the sooner the club has the money into their Dexia account the better, as the majority of the accounts will have to be paid in Euros.
The club will require a 50% deposit as soon as possible (latest 1ST Dec. please). The cheque should be made out to RSSOC and sent initially to us so that we can send out the receipts. For our European members who wish to pay direct into the Dexia account the details are as follows:-

We can book extra nights at the Van der Valk Hotel either side of the weekend @ £114 per double room and £90 per single room - buffet breakfast included.

The hotel gives a 10€ discount on a double room per night to RSSOC members provided you book with the hotel direct and not through an agency. The hotel rooms have been refurbished and meals are recommended. There is plenty of safe free parking. NB. the restaurant is not open on a Monday. If you want further information please let us know.
